Lunch!

I've posted about Zad wah Zuwadeh-an area "pizza" place. This little number is called Labneh with Spinach. Labneh is a soft cheese, not unlike sour cream.

This is Meat with Labneh-a delicious recipe for indigestion if ever there was one. Two of these breads cost less than $3USD.

You may find this hard to believe but I make my own Lebneh. Must say I've never tried it this way but I will.

Flop one on top of the other and it would make an interesting sandwich. Ha!!

@Leif: Enjoy some virtually!

@B-squared: Make your own? It's always better when it's fresh!!

@VS: I think we could get them to accommodate such a request!

Oh this brings back memories of dinner's, phone calls and crazy cars. Thank you!

The closest thing you can use to describe Labneh is Greek yoghurt - sour, extra thick and creamy ...

Cheese is more like a second distant cousin to labneh ;)

Labneh is one of the finer things of Mideast life (unlike your bad hotel experience). I eat it every day. But not with meat (milk + meat is a kosher no-no).

Your mother reads JHDP? Cool! In Oz? Ahalan.

So true, Dina! My mother found your blog via mine. She's in Ohio. :)
